My on and off bf of a little over a year asked me to marry him 4 weeks ago.I said that we should talk this over more be (unoffically engaged) and see how its goes he agreed to this Last week we ent into NYC to visit some of his extended family for his grandfathers B-day party.Everything was fine they were all really nice to me .Then after we went out to a pub with his family my bf started acting very moody as usual with alcohol.We left to go to the trainstation directly but got lost .We got into a fight because i said we should ask someone for directions.He realized that he forgot his cell and wallet.So he told me to cut through central park or a park i'm not sure? and wait at the trainstation for him while he went back to get his stuff.I got even more lost because that was the wrong way i called his cell but it was off so i left a message.I had no cash on me except 10 dollars and no credit card.I got scared because 3 black guys looked like they were following me through the park..

I am 5 ft 6 but only weigh 106 so i was terrified.A nice italian guy who i asked for help got me to the trainstation and on a train home to nj.My bf calls me up the next morning like nothing happened and am crazy for being mad?

Why should you be mad at him? YOU have free will and decided to separate from him. If you felt uncomfortable leaving him than you should have went back with him to get his wallet and cell phone. Just because someone tells you to do something does not mean you have to do it, especially if you do not feel comfortable doing it.

if he made you walk through a park by yourself in NYC, he is not worth keeping. when i drop my g/f off i care sooo much about her that i wait until she goes in her house and closes the door, or in her car sarely. if she has to leave a bar late at night and i want to stay with friends, i will walk her to her car...regardless of how far away it is.

I do not realy understand your question but if that was me I would say that would give me a no to his question and see ya later you jerk! Do you really want to marry guy who cant control his alcohol consumption and that leaves you in New York alone.

No - he is being insensitive. I think you need to ask yourself if you want to keep seeing this inconsiderate clod never mind marrying him. If he is like this now what would it be like to spend your life with him. Personally i would dump a loser like this and find someone more caring and considerate.

NO....you are not crazy..he should have never left you in NY alone of all places....he sounds selfish and you were right for not agreeing to marry him....stick with your gut sister.
