I'm pretty darn sure there isn't a connector from which to pull a trouble code on that car. The early PGM-FI cars on Honda used an LED on the Electronic Control Module to indicate the trouble codes. That light would blink when a fault was present.

the engine control module is located under the right front carpet at the passenger footrest (where the passenger puts their feet when seated in the car). Usually the car has to be running and then you can count the long (0.5 seconds) and short (0.2 seconds) flashes of the LED to get your trouble code. The long flashes have a value of 10 for each and the short flashes have a value of 1 for each. Add the total to get your code.

You may also find a two terminal connector at the top of the right kickpanel (the panel on the passenger side of the car under the dash to the right of where the passenger puts their feet) or under the dash below and to the right of the glove box. That connector won't have anything plugged into it but have two terminals. If you find that connector, you can jump the connector with a paper clip then turn the ignition switch ON and count the blinks of the check engine light.

You can pull the clock fuse from the underhood fuse and relay box to clear the code and reset the ECM. take the fuse out and leave it out for about 2 mintues. Then put it back in. if the failure is a hard failure the light will come back on.

hope that helps
