Everyone you meet is going to be "better" than you at SOMETHING; and you will be "better" than them at something else. No one is better at everything. I don't have any problem with people being better at certain things than I am! I am glad.... EG I know nothing about car mechanic's so I am glad a mechanic knows about it and is "better" informed than I am; so they can fix my car!

I think everyone excels at something whilst falling down on other things. Its just the way the world is.

I admire people who have skills and talents. You can try to learn from them.... OK so its terribly annoying if they are arrogant with it! But most people who are "experts" in their field enjoy "teaching" others about it. Because they are passionate and want to pass on knowledge.

I would seek them out to be my mentor. There would be some things to learn from this person.

I would observe them - how do they respond to the world? On answers - what questions do they ask and what answers do they give?

I would seek to befriend them. I would seek to find answers to my own questions. I would look to learn how I could become a better person.

I disagree with your premise. I don't believe that people can be judged superlatively, and even if they could, I would avoid doing so, since it leads to an overbloated ego and a judgmental attitude.
Not to mention that the question is quite vague. Better how? Morally, intellectually, talent-wise?
Anyone with more skill in such venues should be learned from, so if I came across someone with such heightened attributes, I would learn from them, and thus "better" myself.
I wish you had found a better way to phrase your question, but there's your answer: learn from them.

There are definitely those who have been very good at refining the 'self' that they portray and are much better at pretending than I am. I haven't been given the chance to say what is necessary when running into a great actor.

I would, however, like to say 'It is quite clear that you have put a lot of time and effort into your facade and the level of subtlety in your deception is impressive. I would almost believe that YOU believe in the imaginary person you are portraying. Bravo!'.

In reality though, you are a living organism like me.

Er... nothing, I just get on with my life as normal. I certainly don't waste my time and energy philosophising about it.

I come across people better than myself at one thing or another every day. Just like I may be better at something than them.
