All vertebrates belong to phylum chordata

Animals with backbone belong to Phylum Chordata.Human,mamals and fishes belong to this group.

Since goldfish is a fish and has backbone thene we considered it as belong to phylum Chordata and under subphylum virtebrates.

The phylum would be chordata. The exact classification would be carassius auratus. They're in the cyprinidae family, and are descended from the Crucian Carp ( carassius carassius ) and related to the common carp ( cyprinus carpio ).
