While 85% [of troops in Iraq who were surveyed] said the U.S. mission is mainly “to retaliate for Saddam’s role in the 9-11 attacks,” 77% said they also believe the main or a major reason for the war was “to stop Saddam from protecting al Qaeda in Iraq.”

Pentagon: No Saddam-Al Qaeda Link
Meanwhile, Cheney Repeats Assertions Of Terror Group's Ties In Iraq

WASHINGTON, April 6, 2007

(AP) Saddam Hussein's government did not cooperate with al Qaeda prior to the U.S. invasion of Iraq, the U.S. Defense Department said in a report based on interrogations of the deposed leader and two of his former aides.

Meanwhile, Vice President Dick Cheney repeated his assertions of al Qaeda links to Saddam's Iraq, contending that the terrorist group was operating in Iraq before the March 2003 invasion led by U.S. forces and that terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was leading the Iraqi branch of al Qaeda. Others in al Qaeda planned the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

"He took up residence there before we ever launched into Iraq, organized the al Qaeda operations inside Iraq before we even arrived on the scene and then, of course, led the charge for Iraq until we killed him last June," Cheney told radio host Rush Limbaugh during an interview Thursday. "As I say, they were present before we invaded Iraq."

However, a declassified Pentagon report released Thursday said that interrogations of Saddam and two of his former aides as well as seized Iraqi documents confirmed that the terrorist organization and the Saddam government were not working together before the invasion.

What's amazing is the responses that state that the troops are closest to the situation and know more than we do back home regarding Saddam's involvement in 9/11. Oy vey. The average troop on the ground is not in a position to know anymore than he is told about the political situation in Iraq. Patrolling Baghdad doesn't give them any special insight into 9/11. On top of that, George Bush has said more than once that Saddam was not involved.

What makes something called something. somebody got here up with a acceptance for people and now we mutually call ourselves people (so a procedures as English is worried). How are we distinctive from different issues? we seem distinctive, we've distinctive genes, we've distinctive features, and a few would say we won the breath of existence from God. What makes us human contained in the jap way of questioning? A human that conforms to the societal norms. Even the bible says you're a beast in case you provide your self as much as sin.

The average 20 year old serving boots on the ground in Iraq knows more about national security than a 20 year veteran of congress.

That's why. I will always trust the opinion and information from someone who has been there and seen it with their own eyes over lying legislators, armchair generals, and biased reporters.

Probably because that was what they've been told. I can't blame them for trusting their employer, but I can blame their employer for lying.
