I guess it was at some recent Grammy (I don't follow with stuff like that) but my friend sent me the link.... I really didn't like it.... (not to be mean or anything)
But I do love the fact that they used Velvet Revolver instead of some other band.

What do you think?

wow......this proves the point that just because you bring together a whole bunch of talented artists it will not always be great.

Ow ow ow!

The only good things about it were Slash and Duff!
Bono was atrocious, Brian Wilson didin't look at all comfortable being there, and is it just me, or did Scott sound rather like David Bowie?

Some songs just should *not* be covered ~ unless you can truely do it justice.

Whoever thought that performance was a good idea needs to be locked away.

it somewhat is amazingly countless favorites you have there! I very oftentimes choose the unique song yet I do love Jeff Buckley's disguise of Hallelujah and that i additionally extremely like Mumford and Sons disguise of The Boxer. And The Cowboy Junkies version of candy Jane.

It's freakin' horrible! Haaaa!
They should take a hint from these clowns, and stick to this sort of thing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xoJf-9j2kNs
And leave the classics alone!

Edit - Admittedly I only watched the video for maybe 20 or 30 seconds. That was enough!

It took me a few minutes to find the courage to actually click the link... but finally, i did.

-sigh-
Good heavens that was horrendous.
I'm not going to explain, i think their out of tune voices and lack of any passion whatsoever is all the explanation anyone would need...wow.

Slash is a cutie though, hehe, singing along at the end with his adorable little face and... OK i'll stop =]
I love that they used VR too.

I like when Rufus Wainwright covers it instead.

WOW...and that's not wow in a good way!

Dani is so right - there were some very talented people up there but that's not necessarily a recipe for success. I was embarrassed for them and The Beatles.

That kinda hurt the ears - a little to painful to sit through I agree

Wow...if I wasn't looking dead at the screen, I could've sworn I was listening to some American Idol tryout bloopers....I don't think anyone was on key, that really sucked...I might cry now :(
