Check the clerk's office in the county where you lived with her. Divorces are a matter of public record.

Check with your local vital statistics office they may be able to search your records by using your SIN card to see if anything has been done to end the marriage really though
most of the time you must sign papers to finalize a divorce
so you may still be married. You may also contact a Private Investigater to see what they may find. Really though check with your government offices before wasting money on a PI.

In many states there is a common law divorce I believe. It is based on how long you have been separated. I know in Missouri it has to be filed in the state or I think better the county or city you both got married in or resided in as a married couple.
Good luck

Go to the County Court House where your divorce papers should have been filed. I am sure you know where that is, right?

you should be able to go to the court house in the town or county that you live in because in most cases you have to get the divorce in the county you were currently living in with her.

If you are divorced, you would have received your signed (by a judge) divorce decree in the mail or through your lawyer.
