Stick with your old DVD player until the war is over. Right now we are seeing the battle between HD DVD and Blue-ray as to what is going to be the industry standard. Remember the war between VHS and Beta-max? How many people out there had to throw away that Beta-max player?

They are they next-generation of DVDs basically. Blu-ray is also much better than HD-DVD as it is double the memory on one disk. Which as everything that goes onto a HD-
DVD or Blu-ray is in high definition, memory is important.

Blue rays are basically enchanced grafics better picture quality. But if you dont have the tv and reciever its useless but if u do there worth buying

blu-ray are high definition. If you do not have a blu-ray player or a HD TV they are a waste of your money. They are great because they are high definition. You will notice allot more in the picture if you have the proper equipment.
