Both shows were "campy" and fun...
Like a lot of the others, I don't think I could choose between them...I liked them for different reasons.
The "Munster" family tried to be like "regular folk" so the premise was always them not really understanding why people gave them funny looks as they went about "normal life"..The Addams family on the other hand were weird and they KNEW it!
The movie remake of the Addams Family is still a terrific movie...I've seen it over and over! Raul Julia was INCREDIBLE as
"Gomez"...

I don't remember the Addams Family but I liked the Munsters. I used to dream as a kid to be on the show! I had a crush on one of the charaters. I do remember watching both the Addams Family movies.
Wonder if they'll do a Munsters movie.

I loved both shows, but I'd have to give my vote to the Addams' Family.. I loved uncle Fester and the light bulb in the mouth thing, and the kids were so evil and creepy... where the Munsters had that normal Marilyn thing going on, I didn't get that, but Herman was a hoot, and Edie and his pet Spike under the stairs... wow.. what a blast from the past!

Here's my opinion. The Munsters had the better theme song...The Addams' Family was a better show.

I really like them both. but the Addams Family was a bit better.
But then... Herman Munster and Grandpa were pretty darn funny too...
