The most important thing I could tell the kids of the future is, "decide for yourself'.
Don't let the prejudices of others sway your thinking. Do your own thinking, your own exploration. Find out for yourself what truths you wish to believe in. And be open to the possibility that you may be mistaken. No one on the planet knows everything.

Actually, my advice to kids of the future is TINKER. Take things apart. Find out how things work. Build your own stuff.
Not only is it a lot of fun, but the people who invent things and fix things will be the ones earning the big bucks in the future. Too many people don't know how to do it.

Turn off the recreational computer and GO OUTSIDE!!
Turn off the cell phone/text messaging, and TALK TO REAL PEOPLE
Fight de-personalization and loss of local culture by shopping at locally managed stores, restaurants, and coffee shops instead of chain stores and international monopolies. Local cultures, languages, and customs are disappearing at astounding rates, and you will miss them.
Don't be afraid to celebrate your differences. This last generation has tried so hard to homogenize culture, thought, and speech, that people are afraid to be individuals with personal opinions and ethical code. I'm not advocating hate or intolerance, but "viva la" differences and individual opinions without fear of the PC police.
Oh, and treat your elders with respect, and give them spare cash whenever you can.
