have you thought about changing your diet? You need to look at the cause rather than the symptoms.

Try pre-soaking with a mix of 1 part apple cider vinegar to 9 parts water. But if it's wool use lemon juice in place of cider vinegar. Any mild acid, e.g. ordinary or white vinegar, is probably good enough . White vinegar is probably most cost effective if on a tight budget. It's most likely a result of what the person is eating. If the above don't work, probably need to know what the person is eating, but some baking soda with water would probably work. (Don't have quantities to hand, but could look up "baking soda, laundry" on the internet. A more healthy diet would resolve. That's by far the best long term solution if this is the problem. Drugs and /or stress can also cause it. If taken prescribed drugs in the past, the effect might continue for some time, because they can mess up all kinds of natural body functioning. It's one of the reasons why people on prescribed drugs are often thought not to be hygienic or looking after themselves. It's the drugs, but people don't know and they don't know how to stop the smell. If work is busy and stressful, relaxation or gentle exercise techniques will probably help, e.g. Pilates or Yoga before washing/showering/bathing it the evening. If taking a bath, a little salt and lavendar (and perhaps a little cinnamon) in the water as well as usual soaping may help a little to tone down the effect. Carbolic soap or lemon soap is usually better than perfumed soap.

Could be your washer, especially if it is new. All the fillers, emulsifiers, etc are reacting poorly with the new plastics. Make sure you are using the proper detergent and you might want to cut back to just plain laudry detergent and forgo all the extras for a wash or two.
Check clothing labels, if you have a lot of synthetics, those tend to hold more smells......and some actually stink before you ever wear them!
Can you air dry the clothes? Sometimes a good dose of sunshine will help. Finally, try adding baking soda to the wash......it was something done for diapers back when diapers weren't disposable. A cup per load was recommended .......I think.

You can't do anything about sweating other than stay away from processed meats and an excess of salt. You can use some Gold Bond Body Powder to lesson the wetness on your clothes though. When you wash your laundry, add you detergeant + 1 cup baking soda to the wash water (1/2 cup directly to drum if it is a front loader) when the rinse cycle comes around, add 1 cup white vinegar to the rinse (the vinegar will act as a fabric softener so you don't have to ue the fabric softener you normally use). The two of these will effectively scrub, deodorize, sanitize and soften your clothes.

You say you don't sweat a lot so maybe it's just the way your laundering them.
Don't overload the drum use a good quality detergent and conditioner.
Dry the clothes quickly, don't leave them to dry on a cloths airer, etc. A dryer is the quickest way.
Iron clothes as soon as dry, try adding fabreeze freshener to your iron instead of just plain water.
Sweating is a natural body function. By using deodorants you are blocking pores which can then cause sweating.
Deodorants just mask the smells caused by sweating.
Try washing underarms, even use baby wipes during the day and not using the deodorants for a few days, to see how you go

You can use baking soda in all your wash loads... Depending on the load size about 1/3 C -12 c. is all you need. You can also use less soap... The BS will deodorize your clothing. You can get special deodorant.. I think Secret makes a clinical strength deodorant. Might be worth a try.. I like Ladies Mitchum gel. That works really really well.. good luck

Do you forget the clothing in the washer today and then dry them tomorrow, this might be the smell. Or, do you eat a lot of garlic? Try adding a cup of vinegar to wash.

Add 1/2 cup of distilled white vinegar to the rinse cycle. Vinegar has such a powerful scent that it will kill any other odor. The sweaty odor and vinegar scent will even out and all will be rinsed out. A new scent will stay from the dryer sheet u add to the dryer. ...............Good Luck!
