(x + 5)(3x2 – 2x + 1) =
x(3x2-2x+1) +5(3x2-2x+1) =
3x3-2x2+x+ 15x2-10x+5 =
3x3+13x2-9x+5 is the answer.

multiply x by the second pranthsise and 5 by the second pranthesies too

3x3-2x2+x + 15x2-10x+5

now combine like terms

3x3+13x2-9x+5
