He gave a white rose to the poor angel because she had fallen on his banana skin and landed in his bowl of corn-flakes!

As I strolled round the garden in a dream
I paused and picked a white rose by the stream
I saw that it had fallen by the corn
As yellow as a banana in the morn
I wondered why the white rose wasn't red
'Because an angel put it there' I said
And as these words by me were softly spoke
I yawned and from my dream I gently woke

the smell should be fresher than a white rose.
