Neither ... I call it a dresser. Some people call it a 'chest of drawers' but that is an 'old use' ... a 'chest' is generally a container with a 'hinged top' and that is what people used to store their clothes in when traveling across the US in covered wagons. They came up with 'chest of drawers' after building steamer trunks with drawers ... that somehow became what I now know as a dresser. I actually know this because my grandmother traveled in a covered wagon when she was a child ...

Did you mean what do we call a piece of furniture wherein clothes are stored? In that case, I would call it a "chest of drawers"
When speaking of furntiture, a chest is basically an enclosed box. A drawer is a box with an open top. So a piece of furniture composed of a box containing boxes with open tops is a chest of drawers.
