My husbands truck has an oil leak and it has left and unsightly spot in the middle of my driveway. Does anyone have any clues as to help remove this spot?

take a small amount of gas and an old brush ,and work the gas in the the spot where the oil is,and then spread kitty litter on it and when it dries back up,you sweep it off the spot and there will be no more oil stain,it works on any surface also, good luck with it.

Kitty litter works. You can also go to the auto parts store and buy this stuff called Quick Dry. It does the same thing as Kitty Litter except it's made just for this purpose. It is super-absorbent. After it is all dried up, grind it into the driveway with your shoe. It will turn to a dust and make the driveway all brown for a while. Then take a water hose and spray off all of the dust and your driveway will not look as good as new but pretty dam close.

Use cat litter. Rub it into the oil. Let it sit for about 24 hours and keep it dry. Sweep away. If any residue is left, wash it with Murphy's Oil Soap and water.

The easiest way is to have it repaved and tell your husband to get a new truck, park his truck on the street, or get the darn leak fixed!

You also might look into putting a sealer down to cover it up.

Pour baking soda over the spot for the day. Then spray with something like Simple Green (auto section of store), krud kutter or mean green (paint section of your store). Allow that to sit about 10 minutes and then wash away with the hose.

Degreaser will help, but isn't 100%.

The best thing would be to take a hot pressure washer to it

I used engine degreaser on mine. It will not take the spot away totally, but it will do allright.
