27 points in the second game of his career. Not even Jordan did that. This kid is good. He's going to be fun to watch.

It's a long shot from now, but potentially yeah. And don't bring Jordan in because he score more than MJ in first two games. Why don't you listen this (if I don't remember it wrong, it is from Marion). "He does not mind put that thing up (meaning the ball)" and "... if you shot 23 times then it is easy to get 27....".

My main point here is this kid got talents and already a "ball hog" like other: MJ, Kobe, LeBron, Agent Zero.......more and more. So this kid love the hype and fans love it which in turn gonna give him endorsements and fame. But level of efficiency for winning basket ball games then he does not have that "Yet".

Kevin Durant definitely has shown that in the future he can be MVP caliber. Unfortunately this award is too difficult to predict. Would you be shocked to know or if you already know that despite carrying the Lakers on his back the last couple years Kobe has not picked up an MVP award. This award goes to the best player on the best team not just the best player period. Hopefully the Sonics will surround him with the talent to contend in the Western Conference in the next couple of years. They appear to be headed in a positive direction.

I think that he'll definitly have a shot at it down the road somewhere. Right now I see him as a less talented version of Kobe, in other words, he's the only player on his team with talent. I think if Seattle can make a move and get a surrounding cast around Durant that is half decent Durant will be able to put some some great numbers.

Durant for MVP in 2012.

He'll never win MVP because along as LeBron is still playing LeBron will win no matter how good LeBron does b/c the NBA wants to get high ratings and LeBron brings that. For the few years after LeBron and Anthony reitre Oden will be there waiting for the MVP.
I like Durant but the chances of MVP are doubtful.

KD is gonna be great in the league! He has all the talent and potential in the world. In both his first two games he's filled the stat sheet nicely.

He has a young talented team, so they lack veteran leadership. But i can see them jelling, sooner than later, with KD's talent.

KD's defense needs some improvement, but that will come in time.

He is the MVP on his team, already!

Theirs a good chance but Jordan did average 28.2 PPG and 6.2 APG 6.6RPG something close to that, Now Durant I don't he can average 28 to 30 but it wouldn't be a surprise if he averaged 25.PPG they don't have Lewis anymore

Personally I feel like 'm watching him do the same thing at Texas, score and reboound

Too soon for me to say an MVP but he is going to be a star. I think if he has some good chemistry around him it is possible. I think Rookie of the Year is a pretty safe bet though.
