Trying to plan a trip for next fall and I am in between these two places. I like to party. I am single and 23, which place would you go to? Has anyone been to Krakow, I hear it has an amazing club scene.

Amsterdam - I went to university there - loved it - and yes Amsterdam is sooooooo much more than drugs and hookers - as the first answerer said. That's just a typical thing someone who's never been there to say!

In Amsterdam I really valued how international it is, people from everywhere and anywhere. You won't see that in Krakow, not much variety in the Eastern European countries and least not even close to Amsterdam.

I can not talk about Krakow - coz I have never been there, but I am sure it is gorgeus, whole Eastern Europe is lovely, great architecture and interesting people!

I hope you have lots of fun!

Both are great cities, I have visited them and loved staying there. I would say that Krakow will be a lot cheaper than Amsterdam. Also don't underestimate Amsterdam, it is much more than just a red light district and place for drugs however.

I think it will depend on what price tag you are willing to pay.

Amsterdam has a lively nightlife, most of the newest trends in music are there, as well as many of the established ones, many concerts by small and bigger bands, many pub-like places that are open all evening (sometimes till the morning,) and more.

I do not know much about Krakow, but I am sure that you will pay less for your drinks and entry fees. But, will there be your kind of music?

It really depends what you are in to. Amsterdam can be lovely in the day time, but unless you are there for drugs and hookers, Krakow is a better time, in my opinion.
