to me Peyton is going down as the best QB to play the game of football. and alot of people think that Tom Brady is a better quarterback. and the number one reason people say he is better is because of the same old issue, "he has more rings".
as a quarterback winning is important. its the only position in the NFL that gets judged by winning.if you're a running back they look at your numbers, same as recievers and corners and linebackers. everyone else gets judged by their numbers.
Manning has clearly the better numbers by far, carrer wise. but Brady has jumped on him this year. Brady does have more wins in the Super Bowl. i think its Brady 3 Manning 1. if we're gonna judge QB's by their super Bowl wins then are we saying troy aikman is as good as Brady and Trent Difler as good as Peyton Manning.
i mean Troy was a good qb but not on the same level as Peyton or brady are.

Brady was lucky to be in the position he was to inherit a good Pats team with a great coach.
i think Peyton makes the players around him alot better. examples: Edge and Stockley. what are those players doing now on their new teams? Harrison and Wayne a good players but Manning makes them great players.
look at Moss he is making Brady look so much better when it should be the other way around.

Statistically, Peyton is by far the better Quarterback. But at the end of the day, who gives a sh*t?
When you're with your buddies at your Super Bowl party, and you're not wearing your Peyton Manning jersey, and you're not drinking out of your Colts beer mug; are you going to brag saying "Peyton has better numbers. I don't care that we're not in the Super Bowl this year playing against an overrated Rex Grossman-destroying Bears team"?
Enough said...

It is simple if you use your eyes. Tom Brady has been on the best team in football probably twice in his career including this year and has one 3 championships and the jury is out on this years. Meanwhile, Manning has had the best team atleast 3 times and has 1 chamionship. I love Manning but he is not the qb Brady is. The same way I loved Marino but he wasnt the qb Montana was.
The talk about making players better and using it as a slight on Brady is about the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Tom Brady took the Patriots to the brink of the SuperBowl last year with a #1 reciever and #1 tailback which neither one are even in the league anymore. Are you going to say that Reche Caldwell and Jabar Gaffney werent made better by Brady? How far does Manning get the Colts if you take away Harrison and Wayne and replace them with Caldwell and Gaffney? Home for the playoffs is where.

I agree. Here's the best way to break it down for the Brady fanbase:
Belicheat = one of the greatest coaches/cheaters, if not the greatest coach/cheater in NFL history. He does all the thinking for braindead Frankenstein face Tom "what gay beard will I show up with this week" Brady.
Belichick has made Brady look great. Manning's Mind has made Dungy look great. The discussion ends there. What has Belichick shown? That he only needs average to slightly above average players at a wide range of positions in order to have great success. That shows that his schemes and football intellect account for the Patriots' success. Brady is a mere cog in Belichick's machine. That is why he has managed to win despite Brady's weak play in several key games. Belicheat just shifted to other cogs.
Brady without Belichick is an average quarterback at best, maybe even Rex Grossman level. Similar arm strength. Put Rex Grossman in Belichick's system and you get Tom Brady results. Manning without Dungy is still a top tier quarterback. The Colts were one of the worst teams in the league before Manning. Brady was brought onto a playoff team. Sorry to upset you Brady fans. Lights OUT.

Compairing their career numbers, Mannings overall passer rating is 2 points higher than Brady's. In other words really not much of a difference. Stats such as total passing yards, tds, ints wouldn't matter at this point as manning has played for a few more years than brady has. Manning tends to throw for more yards in season than brady does, patriots tend to play a little more balanced than the colts have especially in past years.
As far as your statement about making other players look better, worse Moss didn't look too good the past few years so there has to be some difference this year. Branch is not doing so hot in Seattle, so there has to be something different. But in reality that's rather weak because typically no one quarterback or receiver makes a player better, its an overall team game and teams make players better not one other guy. Manning did not make Harrison a great reciever, Harrison was a great reciever. Having a good quarterback helps, but also a good reciever helps a good quarterback. But overall a team's situation has a much greater impact on players than one or two guys. For example if Harrison was the only decent reciever on the Colts, or Moss was the only decent reciever on the pats he would get extra special attention and it wouldn't matter if it was brady, manning or grossman throwing the ball. If an offensive line struggles than it doesn't matter who your quarterback is.
I dont think the two are easy to compare. Overall Brady is better at winning, he is smarter and manages the game better than manning does. Manning has a better arm, throws it farther, is a bit more accurate. Manning goes into self destruct mode far more frequently than brady does, especially in playoff games.
If I was to chose one or the other to be on my team, I would take Brady he is better at winning and that is the goal. They can both throw, neither run that well. They are both hard workers and prepare well, but come game time brady knows how to manage the game, and execute the game plan better than Manning does.

Gotta bypass with Brady. Been to 4 large Bowls, gained 3 of them. merely set the record immediately for most passes thrown with 0 INTs. Peyton Manning is a good quarterback and that i'd take both on my crew yet Brady has gained more advantageous with a lot less skills on offense. seem at 2001, with operating back Antowain "easy" Smith, and his precise 2 receivers were David Patten and Troy Brown-both one in all that were good receivers yet no longer elite. Brady hasn't ever needed a Marvin Harrison or Edgarin James to be a triumphing quarterback. With that reported, appreciate to Manning for being one of those very good competitor and athlete

Brady inherited an 0-2 team that had gone 5-11 in the previous year and 8-8 the year before that.
Brady has a better postseason QB rating than Manning.
Brady didn't get to play an expansion team twice a year from 2002-2007. The strength of schedule was tougher for the Patriots virtually
Brady is 6-3 head to head against Manning. Double digit victories 4 times.
Not as clear cut as you think.

I think the key to all the super bowls was Vinatieri. They are equal qb's with a stellar kicker with manning. Big V is 14-2 against the respective team, and brady and manning are near the .500 mark against each other. Manning has a better arm, Brady has a better core of recievers. Manning has more o line, brady has better instincts. Six in one hand half dozen in the other. I go with Vinatieri as the winner. He's been more clutch than the two of them combined.

For anybody who has ever watched Peyton Manning play the game of football there is NO QUESTION who the best QB in the league is. Manning WILL be recognized as the Greatest Ever.
If were going by Superbowl's than Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson, and countless other Quarterbacks would all be considered better than Dan Marino <--- currently the best ever.
Peyton runs his offense like nobody else ever has, or probably ever will. he is the smartest player in the Game today, he has turned a mediocre franchise into one of the best teams in the league year in and year out.
AND FORCED THE COLTS TO WIN FOR YEARS!!! Remember Last Year??? They had the worst rushing defense in the entire league. Yet Peyton rises to the occasion over and over again. He is everything that a Quarterback is supposed to be.
And I guarantee you the Pats would trade Brady for Manning TODAY!!!

Keep it up, Colts fans...*L*...You will only piss off Brady and the HOODIE...*LOL*...
Better QB rating-Brady
Better Career W-L record-Brady
BEST Career Playoff Record EVER-BRADY
More Super Bowls-BRADY
Keep trying though...One day your math will come out right to show you that 3 rings is more than 1...
The argument about Moss is stupid...Brady had 3 rings before him...Funny, I never hear anyone mention Harrison and Wayne making Manning look good...Take Harrison and Wayne away, and I think you have a statue who wouldn't know what to do in the pocket...
