with the sick need to abuse women, debase them or lessen the heroic effort they put forth.
I salute all women in the armed forces, those I served with and those before and since. I respect the women who choose to fight, as well as the support roles that are filled.
However, there are few women as physically strong as me.
How can any person compare this heroic effort to the desire not to be hit by a coward of a man, while standing in the bedroom or more likely from behind, just to make some wimp's point that is totally devoid of any form of logic or pride?

mutter, while i appreciate your pride and sense of rightousness, it is not an equal strength situation, so it is not an equal comparison. Men who hit women, tend to hit children and others lesser in strength.

LOL, first of all, I am a man, paige is she, I'm her pirate,
secondly, while some men were playing hopscotch I was serving. They are not as tough, that is the point, still they serve, which make them even more brave.
But they are as intelligent, they are as competent, they are as deserving of basic rights.

Rio, I respect your statistics, but submit that you haven't seen the horrific, personal examples I've seen in working in battered shelters in the southeast and texas, nor defended the children we've stood kept in our home after Katrina.

I couldn't agree with you more but you are dealing with some sad sick individuals, who can't fathom women as equals.
I wouldn't give them a second thought. Let them go back to their false belief system. No doubt it will be shattered eventually and they will realize how foolish them have been.

Not sure what you are saying,

but the posts regarding combat have basically stated that woman are not as qualified as men for combat. Yes, there are some woman who are better qualified for combat than me. But if you need the top 1000 soldiers in this country, they are all going to be men. That is just a fact. Kind of like if you took the top 1000 basketball players in this country, they would all be men.

What does that have to do with hitting women? I think everyone agreed hitting women is worse because woman are not as physically tough as men. And the women who are tougher than average guys like me are still not capable of doing serious harm to me, so there is never an excuse to hit a woman, unless she has a weapon or has 5 other woman with her.

Because it exposes the complete hypocritical & inconsistent nature of feminism.

The men that have been shot in half by machine gun fire on the battlefield are completely disrespected when the self-righteous feminists state that "men start all the wars" in efforts to shame men.

Turnaround is fair play.

Your attempt at pity & a tug at the heart strings over this will not erase the complete hypocrisy over the domestic violence / women in the military issue.

If women were TRULY as tough as men, we shouldn't see the hysteria surrounding the DV issue & there'd be no need for VAWA.

You just don't like the truth of it all.

It's a leap, but I think the point is that its disingenuous to clamor for equality, then intimate it's somehow worse for a man to strike a woman than it is for him to strike another man.

Eh?

Is a woman being hit worse than a man being hit? That is the question.

If so, then the reason for that is a good reason they are inferior to men in the armed forces.

BTW you're full of false generalizations and are not informed about domestic violence at all. The most common form of domestic violence is mutual combat, not someone being hit from behind.

If anything the statistics on non-reciprocal perpetration indicate that women perpetrate it more often.

Edit:

But I will second Kate Lomax in saying that I totally admire women like you.

Edit:

Statistics > Anecdotal Evidence.

MEN are the one that truly putting their lives on the line during war time. Women does little to nothing. Men are the one that's doing the fighting. Men are the one that truly protected America.

Hell my father fought in Vietnam and Desert Strom, he put his life on the line and fight for freedom. You don't see women dying on the battle field. THOUSAND and THOUSAND of our Men are dying right now to protect America.

Women (feminist) can go **** off!
