I've heard no mention of his possible role in the game. Is he injured now or did people forget about him?
I think if the scenario played out it would be really funny from the standpoint of a casual observer who doesn't care about either team

Nobody's mentioned it because the Pats fans are so vain, they can't possibly believe that the score could ever be close enough that a Vinatieri field goal would make a difference. It is funny how quickly they forget where they would have been without him in the past.

I think V should have been the MVP of all three Pats super bowl wins. And MVP of the colts when they won. While Brady and Manning are the best in the game today, It is vinatieri that is the key to victory. No kicker, No Victory. The most underated position in football today.
