I think he's done. He's at best a #3 starter, that is when he can stay healthy. His legs seem to have aged quicker than his arm and for a power pitcher, that's a bad, bad thing.

I have to believe that he's done. The big time grandstand play didn't work out this time and I think he's embarrassed to some degree. His body is beginning to break down and even though the heart wants to play a children's game, the body is screaming retire.
To some extent the trip back to New York didn't work out for Andy either. Even though he had a decent season, I don't think he was very happy. He has said on more than one occasion that he would like to retire. I think he will play out his option year in New York and then call it a career.

I don't think the Yankees will offer another contract. They've gotta be embarrassed by his dollars per win ratio this year, and worried about his hamstrings. I think he may get an incentive laden deal from the Astros, but he's done in NY.

I think once he sees the AT&T commercial that he and his wife were in, Roger will retire. He will realize that he wife wasnt speechless like he thought and was actually upset to hear that he decided to play another year with the Yankees.

I think it is probably time for him to retire, but it will not be easy for him to do.If I were to bet, he'll play another half season with somebody next yr.If the Yankees self destuct as it appears they will, he may go to Houston. He will definitely want to be with a contender.

If Houston is interested, if Roger is willing to take appropriate money, and if Koby is close to at least a September callup, I think he takes the mound for one more season.
That's a lot of Ifs to align, but I think it quite plausible.

I heard he's updating his phone service to the new AT&T so this time the call won't be dropped. Which only means one thing: The wifa says No and he'll be staying at home helping his son this summer

I would prefer he does NOT come back here to Houston after the jerking around he does each year and his inability to play very well anymore. I wish I could beg him personally to retire.

He will likely try another comeback since he doesn't want Randy Johnson to pass him on #2 in the strikeout list.
