My husband is the reason why we HAVE the house (he makes way more than I do, and he also works way more than I do). I try to take over all the easy stuff like groceries, cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc. He keeps the garage clean, and fixes things when they're broken. We have our division of labor worked out pretty well.

My husband works (makes the main living, and I bring in some side money), takes care of the yards (when he remembers to!), helps clean up around the house, cooks part of the time, unloads the dishwasher (I load, he unloads), feeds the dogs (at least most of the time he does it)...there is alot more, but I think the point is made. A happy "household" is one where responsibilities are shared. I wouldn't say that you are "lucky", I would say that you are right where you should be...all of the women dealing with men who don't put in this effort are the "unlucky" ones.

Yup! my husband is the type of man who's always available to helps around but I like to do the cleaning my self. He bringing home the money (I'm a homemaker) but he trusting me to manage the money matter in our household.we discuss this matter long before and makes everything clear that marriage is about 100% from both of us.
After we've married for 6 years, I was surprising him with enough money to put as down payment for our 1st house. He cried in tears never thoughs that we can saves that much money. I'm doing that to tell him that I'm thankful and honor for believe in me and I want him to have something to be proud of from his hard works!
Now we've been married for almost 18 years and still doing the same thing without complaining!

Consider yourself very lucky...My guy helps me clean, pay bills, run the kids, etc. This only started this past year and I love it. The 18 years before that it was all on me, other than paying the bills he did help with that part. This man obviously respects and cares for you a great deal. Be sure to thank him often even for the little things he does.

My husband always pitches in where needed and is a wonderful person to live with - he cleans up after himself, isn't disgusting and is just an all around fantastic man. I got lucky too! I'm happy for you!

We've always had a work together attitude and yes he helps me when I need a little help. I'm a stay at home mom so I see the house/yard as my responsibility but he certainly pitches in when needed. It works out well for us.

.my boyfriend cooks, works and cleans equally.. we pretty much do the same amount of work around the house..... I don't think you are necessarily lucky... any man with a brain and good manners will help out in the household ..... .

YES my fiance is wonderdul, and kinda OCD about cleaning which works out for me lol. He cooks, cleans, laundry, and makes the bed. He is great!
He also is really good about mowing the lawn and yard-work without me having to ask. He is VERY domestic!
