I have to do a review for a film which I think is a good example of how the cinema can provide escapism from every day life.
I wanted to do a review of Jet Li's Fearless but I'm not so sure it's such a good idea. What do you think?

for pure escapism how about Monty Phyon's Holy Grail, Mel Brooks' Blazing Saddles, Space Balls, History of the world,.. or Lord of theRings , Harry Potter, Blade Runner, Star Wars.

This seems like a great topic to discuss science fiction. Films in this genre are designed to be completely unlike normal life, so something along those lines would be good. In the ilk you are looking for my suggestions would be the Matrix Trilogy. There are numerous escapism references and the movies as a whole are escapist since they are so unlike the normal conventions of action and technology.
