She is put to sleep for two years, and when she wakes up, she finds she can fly, but is restricted by the scientists. she can only do it while in thier sight. she also finds that she is not the first experiment, there are about five other kids with special powers there, but she was by far the most important. then she learns of the secret of her powers, and the the truth of her future...
i dont want to tell the rest in fear that someone might steal my story so please dont! i worked really hard on this! so do you like the idea of the story? please tell me!

My first perception of the title of your book was, "A guidebook on how to fly?.. . Sounds like guidebook to fly a plane or something...." It is perhaps also the way others will interpret it. Personally, I'd suggest a title that is closest to the story, unless the book has to do with a guidebook that she finds that teaches her how to fly and will help develop the story. I can't suggest anything because i don't know how the story develops.

I like the idea of the book much. Good cliffhangers with your short summary of it. Make sure to hold the readers at the end of each chapters with cliffhangers, secrets to be revealed and stuff.

Good luck! If somehow I see your book around (if you end up publishing it), I'd want to see how you wrote it.

If someone says that the title is fine, then nothing will change, and your question is virtually rhetorical. But what would yu do if someone said that the title was uninspired or otherwise lame? Cry? Report them? Give them a negative rating? Send them a flame e-mail or IM? Change the title and then ask the question again?

If you "instantly fell in love with the name", then you don't need any input from anyone. The best writers, cartoonists, etc, work independently, and don't require anyone else's opinions
(except mine, of course!). ;)

I like the idea of the story, but the title just doesn't sound right (try physically saying it).
Sorry.
Keeping the idea, how about "Annies guide to flying" but using your characters name instead of Annie?.

If you don't mind me pointing something out, a 12 yr old girl couldn't just 'vanish' on her own. Under the assumption she is with her parents, the whole family would need to be moved from the area. (She's attending school, they need a reason for her leaving, same with her friends.)
Of course if she was in a government home (a state run orphanage as an example) that would be simpler...

I would like it better with some sort of anti-experament focus. I think experamenting with any living thing is wrong so i wouldn't read it if it was like "OMG this girl can, like fly because of these super fantastic scientists who knock her out for 2 years!" ya know?

I think it sounds alright - I'm not quite sure I'd read it, mostly just because I'm not in to that kind of fiction. I know almost all of my friends would read it though, they love that kind of stuff. Nice Work!
Good Luck

Honestly something a little more catchy would be better...this title sounds more like a DIY book than a novel...

doesnt sound very interesting- but then again i'm not into heroes.
The title? hmmm...if the book was meant to be humourous then ok but it would sound silly if the book was serious
