Can I still get sick, I drink almost a gallon of water per day, take my vitamins, & wash my hands many times throughout the day, how can I still get sick? I work in an office, my co-worker said a mutual co-worker just got over the cold or flu or whatever, but I wash my hands all the time and all the water I drink wouldn’t that flush any germs out of my system? I work & go to school full-time I cant’ afford this right now, I mean I have the sick time to take but I have so much home work? Can I really be sick? I woke up w/ a sinus headache it went away on it’s own & now I feel like wishy washy like I spent all day in the pool & just got out. What could be wrong w/ me?

you are making excellent efforts to remain healthy, but that does not preclude all possibility of infection. One thing you can do to help yourself further would be to do what I do, I use Zicam nasal swabs daily. The zinc in the swab is absorbed directly thru the mucous membranes of the nose....viruses have a hard time multiplying in the presence of zinc. I've not had a cold in five years, since I started doing this along with hand washing and drinking lots. Remember too to consciously avoid touching your face without first washing your hands. Congratulations on all your efforts.

Some germs are airborne and they travel up your nose all by themselves. You can wash your hands compulsively 100 times a day and there will still be some hardy little bugs still sticking to you. You ask what's wrong with you. The problem is that you're human and humans get sick. But you're a somewhat germ phobic human and all that stress about germs and getting sick can lower your immune system. We all have to take precautions, but trying to prevent 100% of illnesses must be a full time job in itself. Lighten up. Take precautions, but stop thinking that you can control what you can't. If what you were doing could prevent all illness, don't you think that doctors would be telling everyone to be doing the same thing?

Sorry, but yes you can get sick.

Viruses and bacteria can also be spread when people sneeze, cough or touch objects. They are also found in water and on food.

You need to have breath through a filter that is effective against these, as well as treat all your food, being careful to not eat anything that has any toxins in it. Because if you eat toxins, this can cause those bacteria in your digestive tract to become toxic as well.

And you have to protect your skin, from all the bacteria and viruses that rain from the sky, onto your skin. One simple rub of your hand against the base of your nose, when one of those bacteria or virus have accidentally settled on your skin, can do you in.

Then you can get the bacteria and viruses from shaking hands, handling paper or metal money, yes touching door handles, stair rails, children, other people or even standing where the wind blows on you.

Oh, yes, don't take any flights, where the circulate the air through the aircraft, take any buses. trains or go underground or into any buildings.

You can reduce your chances of getting sick, but never completely.
