Not in the US. You have to be 18 or over to be considered an adult. But that's legally. A lot of 18 year olds shouldn't even be considered adults sometimes.

In New York State it is a very mixed message for children when they are 16. You can leave home at 16 and your parents can not force you to come back home to live. However, they can be financial responsible for you. They can not be forced to pay for you IF they state they have a home and can provide for you. You can become emancipated and then you are on your own. But, you can't sign anything legally at the age of 16. Your parents still have to do that for you. But, you can quit school at 16 without a parents permission. So as you can see, it is all mixed up and a mess as far as I'm concerned.

No. 18 years old is considered an adult. At that age your parents are no longer legally responsible for you. However, if you are 16 and commit a serious crime, they can try you as an adult, depending on the circumstances...and depending on the judge. That means prison...not juvenile detention.

Young adults would be most appropriate. For sure they are NOT children! Of course there are exceptions people tend to forget if married they are considered legal adults, if emancipated and in the case of 17yr old young men/women if in the military.

depends on the country and the circumstances. In the U.S. you aren't an adult until 18 but if you commit certain crimes in various states you can be tried as an adult as young as 14. But in general, no.

No, because they can not leave home and are still considered minors until the age of 18. Even still, reaching 18 doesn't mean an adult. In the eyes of the law, yes. As for maturity, it's to be debated.

hell no. I'm 18 and people still say im a baby. Which sucks, but its okay. i enjoy being young. I definetely do not want to be an adult. MOst young people, want to grow up already. But they just want the privildges about being an adult, they just want to go out and drink, stay out late, blah blah blah. BUt they dont want to work everyday, pay bills, be responsible like a REAL adult. So dont try to grow up too fast. Young people are soo lazy,
