Yes! I LOVE Christmas. LOVE it. But give me a break! Our local Target is already putting of Christmas decorations, and sure enough... Christmas on the radio. By December, we will all be totally sick of our beloved holiday. It really ticks me off. Every year a little bit of the child in me dies from all this commercialism and destruction of what SHOULD be my favorite holiday.

At the risk of revealing my ancient age, I can remember when stores waited until the day after Thanksgiving to put out their Christmas stuff, and radio stations started with the Christmas music about that same time.
Some Christmas music is quite enjoyable, but there are only so many times I can hear "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer" (usually only once) before I am ready to take a bat to the radio. Even the really good Christmas music (Mannheim Steamroller comes to mind) would pall if I had to listen to it over and over and over and ...
I would imagine the reason radio stations start Christmas music this early is that the royalties they have to pay are less than the royalties on newer recordings. I was going to say that they are trying to get everyone in the "Christmas spirit", i.e. spending money, but unless they receive pay from the retailers, broadcasters are not going to do anything that might cut into their bottom line.

In Canada, stores start doing Christmas stuff as soon as Halloween is over! Yesterday I saw a tonne of Christmas commercials on tv and heard Christmas music on the radio. It's crazy! I prefer to wait until December!

I don't think there is anything wrong with it. I know a lot of people who play Christmas music sometimes all year. I love the type of music so why not?

No not at all. You can begin doing anything related to Christmas as soon as you are in the Christmas spirit. My Christmas tree has been up since October 1. lol
