My driver license are currently suspended, well the suspenion is up..but I do not have the money to pay the find etc...Anyways, my dad is disable, and if need be..If he needed to go to the E.R, and I drove him....That wouldbe against the law, but would the Officer be understanding if I was to get stopped? Yes, I could call an ambulance, but the hospital is literally right down the road. Thanks for all the answers!

Daddy is the most important thing. You would regret forever if you something happened to him because of your situation. If the world has any ethics left, you should be fine! Hope it never happens for you though.( Law enforcement is totally aware that every second counts during an emergency.) Do whichever will get Dad the help he needs quickest. You WILL find a way to pay a fine or whatever, but you can't undo any harm which your father incurs.
Best wishes.

You can not legally drive on any public road with a suspended license! If you were driving in a medical emergency, and were stopped, it would be up to the police officer to choose to charge you.

There is no exception to the law requiring a valid license to drive! You ned to pay your fines, or not drive. Your best choice in a medical emergency is to call 911.

If you can not pay your fines, contact the courts and see if there is a way you can work off the fine in a community service project, or work a second job until you can raise the money!

There is one advantage to calling 911 regardless of your eligability to drive: the paramedics are qualified to begin treatment when they arive, and the driver of the ambulance is not emotionally involved with the patient and better able to focus on driving.

In the meantime, the other posters have addressed your question about driving on a suspended licence.

I had the same disussion about driving someone to the hospital on a learner's permit, a while back. Call an ambulance.

I agree with for sure. That would be like a cop stopping you on the way to the hospital while you were in labor. Most cops would be very understanding. I don't see them giving you a hard time. Hell, they may even give you a police escort. However, you caution is in order. Some cops may let you go, but then give you a hard time, a ticket, or arrest you when you get to the hospital, or on the way back from the hospital. Ihope this never happens, but some cops can be *******. I don't think the courts would say anything based on the situation. It's not worth the courts time.

confident, you easily desire a lawyer. You screwed up massive time, knowingly, and many times (not often using to artwork, continues to be breaking the regulation). in case you desire to get a limited license for artwork, that could desire to have been a solid thought 4 months in the past. Getting an lawyer to deal with this license suspension may be the main suitable decision you have made in months.

It's illegal to drive with a suspended license, and you will be ticketed and fined/arrested if you are caught.

That said, it wouldn't stop me from taking my father to the ER, and I would accept the consequences without apology by knowing that I saved a life.

I would, if it was truly an emergency and just drive very carefully so that you don't get pulled over in the first place. Even if the officer wasn't understanding you could probably win in court. Hope this doesn't happen ,try to get your license back asap so that you don't have to worry about it any more. Good Luck

It would depend on whether you have good E.M.S. services. I would call the ambulance because most of them are mobile hospitals now. Your father will get better care that way.

You may get away with it taking him there, but getting the car back home would be a different issue. I would recommend you do what ever it takes to get your license back.
