you had a flight scheduled to visit out of state family and one of your children became very ill and you chose to cancel your flight and visit due to the fact that your child had scheduled tests for pneumonia/asthma , would your out of state family understand that you wanted to be there for your child? Would they forgive you? Would they be angry? Bear in mind that this is family who has never come to visit you or your children Most never even met your children, but whom you have visited on several occasions. Another question...Not knowing until tests results, how severe the illness is, would you go anyway to appease the out of town family? Serious opinions please. Thanks

It does not matter what your family thinks it's your kid that is important. If they don't get over it and understand there not the kind of people you need in life (trust me). Go with your heart it knows what to do.
If my family member was sick I would fully understand. You could always visit later.
No I would not go. I feel (as a mom to an 8 year old girl) that anytime my child is sick it's my place to be at her side. No matter what anyone thinks it's your child health that is important.

Your Family is the most important factor in your life, depending how much time and effort you put into your family will establish how much you get out of them, if you're not there because you're always working or down the pub then your kids will learn to live without you and could'nt give a monkeys about you, so get your kid tested and sorted out first, then go to visit, your kid will appreciate that more.

My family would understand 100% that I had stayed home to be with my child. Of course they would forgive me and no they would not be angry. Disappointed, maybe. Plus they can kiss my butt anyway if they never take the time to visit me ever. And, no, I would not go anyway.

no i would not appease family.your child and his health is the most important thing of all.and if they love you they should know this if not and they throw an immature fit then i guess you dont need to be around them.these same people must not care too much if you are alwasy the one visiting them they have taking no inititive to see you and your child.stay and be with your child and after results and tests if child is ok then you can reschedule if you want

It relies upon on the age of the newborn, the emotional adulthood and their very very own own ideals including faith and so on. My 10 three hundred and sixty 5 days previous is non secular, i'm no longer. So my rationalization of dying does no longer experience her ideals. So I only went with the information of existence ending devoid of stepping right into a debate approximately what does or does no longer ensue previous the respiration combating. we are going to artwork it out extra as she gets older.

You have every right to cancel the trip because of your child being sick. What kind of relatives wouldn't want you to do what's best for your child? My husband and I's relatives are like that. They complain that they never see us, but we are the only ones that will make the long trip to see them! If they really want to see the children, tell them to buy a plane ticket and come to you! ;)

Of course I would delay EVERYthing else till the results come so I could put my child 1st never mind if it's asthma or cold and would consider any person who doesn't understand it dumb and insensitive.

No matter what anyone else thinks, my child's health comes first.
As the OTHER family, I would rather you not come, knowing your child is getting the medical care he/she needs and then, afterwards, you call or email me and tell me your child is OK!
You can always come and visit another day.

In my own opinion....Your child(ren) come before anyone-even family..The health of your child is more important..And if you family can not understand, then they are not understanding...And something is wrong.(No offense). They should understand, and if they want to see you then let them come to you this time! Wish you well. Hope your child is fine.

You owe nothing to anyone but your child. If others can`t, or won`t understand that ,then cross them off your visiting list, They sound like selfish people to me.
