That is the saddest and most lame example of a racal slur I think I have ever heard of. This is so freaking sad. What do you think?

also lets keep to the subject okay. I see some are trying to make this a racist thing. I am not I just wondered if anyone else thought that this one word was stupid.

Sure it is. It doesn't matter on the term. If a term is meant to be deragatory against another person because of there race, then it's a slur and offensive. It's the same as calling a black person a n!gger. But reading some of the answers here, it's plain to see that still many blacks feel it's OK to be racist.

All racial slurs are stupid, including this one.
I was told that the term "cracker" came from the white overseer "cracking" the whip on the black slaves, and now refers to poor ignorant white trash who try to "keep down" black people so they can feel relatively superior.

My boyfriend is white and Im VERY sure he would be offended if I, a black woman calls him the C word. All this race battle seems to be mostly between blacks and whites here in the USA. Just stating the facts........ why dont you go ahead and call a white person that name, then come back and tell us how it went :-)

Well, I don't like calling anyone names, but it doesn't seem to have as much hate behind it as other slurs. It seems to be used more comically most of the time. It certainly doesn't have the same history of hate and oppression as the n-word.

A racist term isn't what it means to the person saying it, it is what it means to the person it is directed at. Anyone that uses a racial slur is wrong. Period. Especially when it surfaced when we were a split nation. Grow up. Cracker is as bad a N#$%er!

Do you know of a more hurtful and stinging slur one could substitute? Probably not since whites pretty much invented racism. Yet you ponder why there are no "good" slurs for you? It's kind of hard to find a good "slur" for people who've pretty much held economic and social power since forever.
Get it? But yea, if you know of a really good slur for whites, please share. I'm sure some people would love to know what that was.

They can call me anything they want. It just shows their low intelligence. I find that most people resort to name calling when they don't have a logical argument.
