My GYN said that some ppl just produce more bacteria than others. Its due to their pH levels. Ive had the same issue. He did actually tell me to try to eat some higher acidic food such as oj and grapefruit. He even said to try a vinegar water douche (sorry lol way tmi) Nothing to do with your cleanliness, some of us are just made differently.

Okay, if your getting an infection from having sex, it could be the way your husband eats. Or what he eats. The food he is eating could be very acidic or maybe not. what is in the food he is eating causes a difference in his ejaculation. Depending on the food ofcourse. Could be the lubricants on the possible condoms you use if any. Or it could be that you just to stop having sex for a little while to see if it clears up. It might not even have anything to do with sex. It probably could have something to do with you moving and being bumped around to quickly. Then again i would say go to the doctor and tell him/her what is happening, don't be afraid I'm sure they have had worse case scenarios considering herpes and aids are among some people. Good Luck!

I think you are smarter than this. Bacterial infections don't just come for any reason unless it is a UTI or a Yeast Infection. Someone is not being honest here. Is your husband really clean or are you really clean? His sperm should not irritate you unless something is wrong with it. Both of you need to get tested together and receive your results together. This way no one will lie about anything. Good Luck and please go to the doctor.
A bacterial infection would clear up if you are treated for whatever the cause may be so yes after wards you would have a normal pap. You are telling on yourself or your husband....Be Honest and Get treated!

It's important to remember to pee immediately after sex. Peeing helps some of the semen to come out and removes any bacteria that might cause an infection. He should pee too after sex to decrease his risks of an infection. Try those things and start drinking cranberry juice and hopefully it will help. Otherwise you might have to try using condoms instead if you can find some you're not too sensitive for.

Years ago, a doctor had a report on this. It seems that the infection is caused by anything that is put into that sensitive area. There are medications for this that are inserted by you each day into this area. Please see your doctor.
Do you clean yourself with water with a little vinegar added to the water douses after sex? If so, make sure you sterilise the tube that is inserted into your body after each use.
If you do not take douses, ask your doctor if you should.

You have already received some very good answers but, I just wanted to add one more thing. While you are being treated for BV ( Bacterial vaginosis) , you need to have no sexual intercourse. The infection needs to clear completely, otherwise, a re-infection occurs.

go see your gynecologist, have that bacteria identified so that doctors would know what type of antibiotics to prescribe... and when takin the antibiotics do it religiously, at least 7 days as it is prescribed cause once you stop it before the prescribed period, you are only giving the bacteria a chance for them to be immune the the said anti biotic that was prescribed to you, that would mean you would need a stronger antibiotic the next time to eliminate them.

Is it a urinary tract infection? Some women are susceptible to UTI's after sex because of bacteria being forced into the urethra during sex. If its a vaginal infection then I've got no clue.

Well if he is not circumcised he needs to keep that area very clean at all times. Or it could be the rag you bathe with. Best thing to do is to check your doctor about it.

bacterial infection in the vagina is usally a result of inappropriate hygeinic measures. Do you use douche? if so, don't, do you use a strong soap to wash down there? stop.
do you eat yogurt, you should.
does your husband use mouthwash before he performs oral sex on you? if not he should.
most important, do you urinate immediately after sex? if not, you should.
