Stephen Colbert IS a comedian. What he says is actually funny. Where Bill O'Reilly may crack jokes, he is actually far more scary than funny.

Because Stephen Colbert sees himself as a comedian. I think Bill Reilly takes himself seriously, although he may just be trying to make money by catering to his audience's political biases.

O'Reilly goes after those in the media and politicians who lie or act irresponsibly, causing his enemies in the "culture war" to despise him. Colbert is merely a comedian.

Bill O'Riely is hysterical. I can't wait to see what he's angry about tonight.
Colbert tells the same joke with different lies over and over again. It was funny the first time but....
Katie Curic trying to act serious is even funnier than the both of them combined.
Wolf Blitzer trying to be cool is a knee slapper.
Please don't tell me you take Kieth Oberman serious. He doesn't.
Watching Sarkozy wave off Leslie Stahl was almost as funny as watching Bill Clinton give Chris Wallace the finger.

Because Bill O'Really actually believes in the crap he spews. Colbert is satirizing the likes of O'Really and Limbutt.
