demonstrate at these funerals. If government officials are allowing this to go unchecked we are all in trouble, write or call your senators. See what kind of response you get, if any. I feel like suing them for calling themselves baptists.

They don't need permits. But, one aspect of their dreadful behavior has never been covered at all. Between 1993 and 2001, there were 7,500 members of the armed forces who died on active duty. Not one protest at any of those members' funerals by the Westboro Baptist Church was ever recorded or known to have occurred. All this, during most of the years of the "don't ask, don't tell" policy concerning homosexuals in the military.
So, I have concluded that their protests are not based on religious beliefs. They are political. Therefore, under the Internal Revenue Code, they should lose their tax-exempt status. Because the "bedrock" of their Christian faith is set upon a sand pit of partisan politics.

I talked about this hate group yesterday in a question I asked. This group protested near my town in March 2006 at the funerals of Sgt. Joshua Youmans and Pfc. Allan Morr of Michigan. It caused so much community outrage that there is now a state law here in Michigan that severely limits protests at funerals. I think they should be banned all together. They are the most cruel, cold hearted, and hateful people I have ever seen.

God might hate Australia, yet Fred Phelps * loves * the digicam and media interest. His %. of inbreds are an stressful aberration, no longer something greater. And the 'Jayden's Mommy' account is a troll account. effective attempt, yet your account is type-new and the genuine account remains around.

The city does. Seaford, Delaware refused at first until PHRED PHELPS' PHOOLS threatened to sue. So they got their permit. BUT...some local citizens didn't take kindly to those inbreds' nonsense. You can see a film clip of what those GREAT CITIZENS (I salute them!) did.
Here's how America REALLY feels about those hateful people:

If you want to stand shoulder to shoulder with others who are appalled by this group, go to this web site and sign up by clicking on REGISTER in the upper right hand corner.(there are no membership fees, no dues, no meetings). Then be ready to go when called. You don't have to be a biker or a vet, you just have to be willing to stand for those who have stood for us. Be sure to check out the PHOTO GALLERY.

After reading the all the news on this, I agree. But will the Baptists just let it go? They should be doing something about it.

Somewhere I read that they have to stay 500-1000 feet away. But really, that isn't much distance when you think of it, Especially if a lot of people are showing up at the funeral

Their disgusting behavior ought to bring real Baptist or at least Christan's out to protest against their protests.

I too resent the coupling of hateful behavior to Christianity in any form. Will see what the politicos have to say.
