Depends on the book.. books that are hard to find like Katherin Kurtz's Lammas Night sell in seconds.. and can go from $20 to $60 depending on how many people are online looking for it in the auctions time frame.. (I got a used copy for $40).. others like Foxfire by Joyce Carol Oates go for around $10.. but if someone can go to a store and buy a new copy for $4.00... it's not likely to sell.. I think for most books the best thing to do is to sell them in lots by genre.. If people are buying 10 books instead of one the price seems a bit more reasonable for used books.

I sold a few specialist sports books for decent prices, but all the fiction works and science books I've put on have failed to attract any bids at all.

I ended up giving them to my local Oxfam shop.

Depends on if the book is popular, hard to find, etc. I sold a few Sylvia Browne books on there a few weeks ago and they sold for more than my original purchase price! All depends on the book though.

Used books might nicely be had at storage revenues and library fundraisers. 25 cents for paperback and a million.00 for hardcover. no you will be attracted to purchasing on line and then having to pay transport expenses.

Unless it is a very special or rare book, books can be bought locally with having to pay postage.
