(1) Mixture, (2) Elements, (3) Compounds.

The other answers confused "class" with "states/phases".

States or Phases of matter are (there now are 5):

1. Solids
2. Liquids
3. Gases
4. Plasmas
5. Bose-Einstein Condensates
