I know what you mean, and I can't get one in the UK - any ideas welcome. I think they are the kind of thing that sometimes are given away free on magazines etc

Last Saturday, or this Sunday morning, I ripped up a wipe (they're too big for my baby's little bum, so I just rip off some) and stuck it in a small plastic empty hummus container from Trader Joe's. I wanted one of those containers, too and looked at Wal-Mart in the travel size section, but didn't think to look in the baby section. Eh. Actually, I like the Ziploc bag idea better, since it's more feasible that they will stay wet longer. I don't like using plastic sandwich bags, or any plastic bags like that unless I can reuse them several times. I think we have a box somewhere, though. I'll have to poke around.

I got the idea for the plastic container on a rare morning when I woke up on my own (my daughter is six and a half weeks old) and was able to just let my mind wander. Odd, though, I think pre-baby, I would have thought of the plastic container, sooner, just in every day life, not when I was half asleep with a wandering mind. Eh. Still, it came down to what I like-- Reusing something and spending no unnecessary dollars.

Huggies and Pampers both make plastic boxes that are about 1" thick and come filled with wipes. I've seen them at Target at Walmart for under $2. I've also seen them as a free gift with a box of diapers. I have 2 - 1 for the diaper bag and 1 for the car that I just refill as needed.

Look in the baby department of various stores like Target. Huggies makes a smallish package that comes with the smaller sizes of diapers. Otherwise you can always buy a small package of wet ones that fit into your purse. Just look with the wipes in the grocery store or where you buy diapers. If you absolutely cannot find anything to fit in your purse I've been known to put a handful of wipes in a plastic baggie, seal it tightly to keep the air out and use that. It's cheaper too.

Wal-mart, Target, and Babies-R-Us carry travel packs of wipes, both in the harder plastic cases and in soft plastic pouches. Look for the Huggies brand of wipes, which should have the hard plastic version available. Babies-R-Us has a cute Pooh Bear case, if I remember correctly.

Alternately, if you're in a pinch and need to take wipes with you, putting a few in a ziploc bag and tucking them in your diaper bag or purse works just as well as the store-bought containers.

Walmart...you can either get a cheap one for a $1 or buy a Huggies one with wipes in it for a couple more.

I got mine from walmart. Unfortnately you cant by them by theirselves, I think that is problem that everyone runs into. You have to buy it when they offer it with their wetwipes refill box, and usually its a free gift on top.

I just use a ziplock bag and refill when I'm out. Much cheaper.
