You gotta be kidding me. A liberal Democrat who was the Number 2 man in the most successful Administration of the last 60 years, and who won the Nobel Peace Prize... or... Newt Gingrich.

It's easy to forget, after seven years of war, lies and incompetence from Bush, just how bad Gingrich was, and was threatening to be. You know the old saying, "If this guy had a brain, he'd be dangerous"? Well, Gingrich is a pretty smart guy, and given the powers of the Presidency, he'd make Bush look like a civil libertarian by comparison.

Gore is the easy choice. But he's not running, so I'll probably vote for Hillary, unless one of the other Democrats puts forward a program that really changes my mind.

Mr. Courage: Like Giuliani, Newt's on his third marriage. For the moment. For all we know, he may already be fooling around with Wife Number 4.

I read Newt's book from I believe 1996. I came away thinking he was a very common sense kind of a guy. Maybe a classic liberal circa 1776. Contract with America again was just smart!
but I am torn cuz I do respect Gore's positions on other people not driving their cars so much!
