Most Canadians are not that enthusiastic about sneaking south to the US... They have what they need, good medical care, good political systems, no thiefs or tyrants in charge of their laws...

I understand that a good deal of illegal drugs are moved across the Canadian border . That many terrorists have used the Canadian border as an easy method to enter the United States and that during prohibition the main supply route of choice was across Canada's border .
Today Columbian drug dealers ship past the United States to Canada and then back down into the states .
I am not saying that border security is weak on the U.S. side of the Canadian border but when smugglers use it you can bet its a safe bet that anything can get through .

By land, probably not. Canada has just as much wilderness on the border as Mexico. But by populations it is not. Canada has a much smaller population than Mexico... Canada also has a much bigger middle class proportionately in a per capita... so illegal immigration would really not be a problem. Canadian poverty levels are so miniscule and well provided for in Cnada that there would be no real reason to leave.

Now, if you are talking about security and dangerous people or objects coming over... then its a crap shoot. Mexico border is better policed but both borders would be easy to penetrate.

It is nice in Canada and they have good jobs. No need to illegally cross into USA.
