Ok, I tried to miss my period last month due to my miagraines because my OBGYN said i could. Well, It messed up my period very bad. I have been bleeding for 2 weeks and will never make that mistake again. My question is....I should be starting my real period next wednesday, but I missed a few pills this week so I had to throw out the rest of my pills. Should I re-start taking my pills this sunday since I am already bleeding, or should I wait til next sunday when I am supposed to take them. I am confused on how long I am gonna bleed now that I have messed up my pills.....Thanks:)

You should start taking your pills this Sunday! Your period will be back on track, or it should be, by next month! When you start taking your pills it will level everything back out! Don't worry, you will have it back to normal in no time!

First, you should consider going for the patch if you can't remember taking your pills. Going on and off them so much can really screw up your hormone levels.

If I remember correctly from when I started them, you are supposed to start them the first Sunday after you start your period. I would definitely call your gynocologists office to be sure though. Explain the situation and they will give you the best advice they can.

You don't have to start on a Sunday. You can start whatever day you want. Think about it: how does your body know what "day" it is?

If you start taking your pills when you are bleeding, you will be fully protected. It's actually the best time to start them.

woah, thats messed up. since you're cycle has been thrown out of wack-you'll have to start fresh again.
So, you're supposed to start your new pack of pill the Sunday AFTER you period.
for example, my period started this passed monday & it ended pretty much yesterday...so I will start a new pack of pills this coming up sunday.

otherwise, i'd say to call your DR and ask specifically what you should do...or maybe time to try another method???

nicely, FYI -- you do no longer *have* to initiate them entirely on sunday, you could pick to initiate them on besides the fact that day bests fits you. i became recommended to initiate mine 2 days after my era, so IE, if I have been given my era on sunday, i could initiate the pills on tuesday --- you could initiate the pills on besides the fact that day you pick, as long as you reside to tell the story cycle. yet there is likewise lots that performs on what form of pill you're taking, there are SOOO many categories of pills available those days, that could play a huge place in it --- in case you're completly uncertain, merely call up your DR or hospital and ask -- I mean, in case you're think to initiate taking them on the instant, you nevertheless have been given quite some time -- you could take them besides the fact that time of day you like, merely as long as you're taking it on the *same* time usual --- if your DR /hospital is closed on the instant, there are a number of 24/7 nursing hotlines you could call to get suggestion in case you're perplexed. i be responsive to what I even have been informed, yet lots can count on what form of pill you're taking, so i would not unavoidably hear to all of us's direct solutions on right here wihtout understanding what form of pill you're on, or till somebody on right it rather is a nurse, dr or intern and so on and so on that could desire to definately be responsive to --- i think of your maximum suitable guess could be to call a hursing hotline and ask just to be risk-free - and enable them to be responsive to what particular pill you're taking. ---mordi
