I wouldn't do that- I would however re-buy the full suit with the pants and charge them the full amount for the set. Then if you get a "hassle" tell them that you will report them to the BBB and tell all your friend's, family etc... NOT to use their business ! Good luck... Also, BEFORE you take the new suit to the dry cleaners for alterations take picture's of the suit w/ the tags on it and the receipt to keep from happening in the future.

For 1- This lady is fried! if she thinks u should go and exchange the blazers to ur suits in her size after she's already screwed u over by losing them!!!!!!!!!!!! that's just wrong! I'd definitely go to the store u purchased them and tell them the situation. Maybe they can offer some advice on what to do as well as supply u with a receipt of the full amt. of the suits cost. As I'm sure u already have a receipt for ur own records.
I'd be tempted to call the police and file a complaint there as well as with the bbb.
I'd also check with other dry cleaners in your area and ask them if they should lose or damage any of your clothes what's their policy on something like that. That way u already know what u r getting into before anymore of ur clothes go missing elsewhere.
I don't reside in chi-town so I can't advice u on the regulations for something of this nature. Good luck with this.. what a load of crap on that lady's behalf! I feel for u take care.

Give her the Blazer and receipt where you purchased the suit from, and Let her Reimburse you for the entire Outfit. It would be "her" place to go and exchange the Blazer, not yours.. Sounds like you need to find a New Dry Cleaners...

If you do decide to give her the blazer, you insist that she take it as is. If she refuses, don't report her to the BBB - they won't do anything but send her a letter, and record your complaint. File suit in small claims court - you may be able to collect damages, as well as reimbursment for your suit.

She needs to reimburse you for the full cost of the pants.
Do not give her anything !
She is trying to put the cost of a stolen pair of pants on her employer and get a whole new suit for free.
Don't play her games. Talk to the store owner and get your money back.

Let me see if I have this straight: This lady lost your pants and wants you to give her your jacket too, and thinks you should trust her with yet more of your new clothes.
Nope, don't do it. Complain about her to the BBB, use another dry cleaner, and consider taking her to small claims court. I'm betting she has 'lost' things belonging to other people as well.

Insist on speaking with manager.
Or contact another branch to find the main office.
Worked long time in dry cleaners many, many years ago.
This sounds like BS.

Sounds like she stole your pants! Report her to the better business bureau. Ask her a lot of questions. Like who does the altering, how you can contact them? If she doesn't want to give you information about them ask if she is going to give it to your lawyer. Don't buy anything new and expect her to pay you for it! She won't. You may want to contact the police just to make a report. She is probably doing/ done this to other people.
