Yes the Hall of Fame should care!! But then again I would have spit on the ball the threw it back onto the field had I have caught it. He doesn't deserve to be in the Hall of Fame *Just My Opinion*

I don't like the idea of the HOF accepting a defaced piece of history since the issues surrounding Bonds are a separate issue unrelated to the HOF. It is now looking like that the grand jury looking into the Bonds case will end in January without an indictment, meaning they were unable to proceed due to a lack of evidence. Baseball fans can come to their own conclusions about Bonds without the need of a defaced baseball in the HOF. Should Bonds ever be found guilty in a court of law I would change my position but without that happening the HOF should reconsider their position in accepting the ball.

It really bothers me that athletes make a "deal with the devil" and take performance enhancing drugs to become something that they are not. Having said that, it seems wrong for some wealthy guy who isn't even a baseball fan to mar a piece of its history.

I think that the Hall of Fame should accept the ball and display it with the asterisk hidden from view.

I don't blame him at all. That idiot only did that just to have his 15 minutes of fame & trying to make Bonds look bad. I'm willing to bet if that was Mguire or Ankiel he wouldn't have done that at all. Good for Bonds for standing up for what he believes is right. Why should he accept that disrespect by some moron with nothing better to do?
