I try to reboot several times and get nothing. when I leave it running in this state, after about 15 min., I reboot and it boots up fine. Any ideas??

The "beeping" is an error code telling you that there is a hardware problem preventing the PC from booting. Most common cause is memory. Try taking out and putting aback the memory.

If that does not work, it may be one of the cards in the PCI slots of the computer. Remove them all and reboot. See if the beeping goes away. It if does, put the cards back one at a time and reboot until you find the one causing the problem.

If it still beeps after that, listen to the beeps carefully - as if they are morse code - and write them down. Then go to the PC manufacturer's web site and search for "error codes", "beep codes", or "BIOS codes". You whould be able to find a list of what the beeping means. That will help you determine what needs to be fixed.

bring your pc to a diagnostic center. i've got a similar problem and it's got nothing to do with monitors. it has something to do with memory or power.

check monitor cable
