As liberals, Clinton and Pelosi will say much but do nothing. They will govern by empty gesture, empty rhetoric, and symbolism. Liberalism is not about solving real-world problems. It is about demagoguing issues, preying on people's (misplaced) sense of intellectual superiority, and appealing to mindless emotion. The result of their pointless pantomime will be more violence against women--and everyone else.

Why just Muslim women and why just wives? We are far from the only ones that COULD be vitimized. I say this because I am a Muslim woman, (Muslimeh) and the only 2 women I have ever met that were beat 1 by her husband was just a regular white american woman and the 2nd a girl from high school who was one of my closest friends again just a regular american girl. That situation I witnessed first hand and stepped between her boyfriend and her and ended up getting stabbed in the neck with his pencil for defending her. Why not save women in general?

Sara- yes there is a part where you can "beat your wife" in the Quran. But it can't be with anything bigger than a toothbrush, can't cause her any harm by leaving a mark and can't be on her face. Are you speaking of Muslim woman in the US? If so, then there are programs in place to help women. If not, then we need to get our own country in order first. We should want our higher up people to focus on our land that is why we are at war now and the people in America are lacking.

As stated, we need to focus on AMERICA and not other countries right now. Our women here are losing their husbands and children at war, why not focus on HOME and let some of these other countries fight their own battles for a change. We have our own issues that need to be solved FIRST and for MOST.
