I have a desk job. Actually a call center so i am answering calls all day. I am so tired and sleepy everyday because I have a newborn and a 6 year old. I work full time, take him to cubscouts, doctor appts., I am trying to close on a house. I am trying to file bankruptcy. I am trying to watch movies and play with my baby when i get home while at the same time feeding him and the family while trying to help my older son wth homework.

Halloween was in the middle of the week, so i stayed up late and I am exhausted. I also got some muscle relaxers, pain pills, and xanax the other day because i found out i have fibromyalgia which makes u sleepy too.

I dont drink energy drinks, coffee, or do i take wake me up pills.

So how can i keep my head off my desk at work. I literally fall asleep while i am on a call at work.

I definitely wouldn't take Xanax before work! Save that for night-time if you can. As for pain pills, see if you can switch to taking Tramadol/Ultracets. They tend to keep people up for HOURS, while keeping the pain far away.

You also need a sitter for just 2 - 3 hours a day or two a week so you can get a much needed nap or two a week!

Hope this helps and things calm down soon!

I can certainly sympathize with you, I think women always try to do too much, it's how we were raised. I wish I could come over and help you out!

I think what you need is a break and some help, I know, that's easy for me to say. But I have been stretched pretty thin before too, and I learned that sometimes you just have to ask for help. If you don't, you will have a breakdown of some kind, either mental or physical, and that will do no one any good. You have to take care of yourself so you can take care of everyone else.

Is there someone else who can take over at home for you sometimes, make dinner for your family, watch your kids, help your son with his homework or take him to his activities, etc. Then you can take a nap, take a long bath, or go for a walk, anything will help.

In the short term, try some caffeine, it may help. Ask your dr., they may have some suggestions for you, and also ask about the meds for your fibromyalgia, maybe you need to change your meds.

Best wishes to you, I'm thinking about you. Take care.
