I have long had a similar problem. We apparently share what is known as "social phobia." There are some very effective medicines for this problem. But you will need to see a psychiatrist to get these medicines prescribed for you.

There is also a type of treatment known as "Cognitive Behavioral Therapy," which has been found to be extremely effective for social phobia. You can search the Internet to read about this method. You should see a psychologist or psychiatrist to help you learn this method of treatment.

Don't be ashamed of having social phobia (which is also oftentimes called "social anxiety"). A pharmacist friend of mine has informed me that a remarkable number of entertainers take various anti-anxiety medicines, apparently to help them with stage fright, socializing, etc. So you do have plenty of company.

By the way, your apparent social phobia might make it hard for you to go out to get help. But don't worry because mental health professionals are very easy to talk to.

Also, you might want to keep the following quote in mind:

The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.
