let him know the reason you were terminated. you should be able to get you workers evaluations if they were done. if that don't work, you can try a temp, agency for awhile. or just keep trying. good luck

You were NOT fired. You were downsized. There is nothing wrong with being downsized. Companies are doing it all the time. It was not your fault.

Read the news on Chrysler which just this week announced it was downsizing and cutting 10,000 jobs. Thats 10,000 more people out looking for a new job. They will all say they were downsized.

During the interview talk about your strengths and how your skills match what new employer is looking for and how you would be an assert to the new company. When asked why you want to live or left your former employer - tell the new employer that you want to grow professionally and that you have done some research on the company and that they offer that kind of progress for you (please research the new company before you attend the interview) Do not tell them that you were fired !!!

I thought people got "laid off" due to downsizing not "fired". If you were let go due to circumstances beyond your control regardless of how well you were doing your job just tell them that. It is not unheard of for good people to be let go because of downsizing or a business changing hands. I think a new employer would consider that.

good spelling is important so make sure your job app and resume are correct
focus on what you liked about the job and that you were disappointed to have had to leave due to downsizing
tell the employer that you learned a lot and that you'd like to bring what you learned to your new job

hi Puan Yana (leave out u), My final interview became very spectacular. I have been given the pastime and now i'm in Putrajaya. (see you later Malaysian Bar) The interviewers later tell me that interior the interview they only concentration on adulthood (how effective are we and what's our concept in specific subject concerns) and that they even provoked me with some loopy accusations yet later instructed me that they only opt for to verify my reaction. so surely i think of i'm mature & cool considering i've got been given the pastime ... muahaha

Emphasize your experience, but don't montion downsizing until they ask why you left. It's no disgrace, it happens to a lot of people. Get a reference from your old boss.
