Depends on what you are looking for. If you are going with a few friends, and you are all novice sailors, I'd recommend the Virgin Islands (British). The sailing is fairly sheltered, allowing for simple trips ranging from about 1/2 and hour up to 4 hrs. All the anchorages are calm and clean, most with a little bar/restaurant ashore. The 'Indian' rocks offer some great snorkeling, as does Marina Quay.

As for charter companies you have quite a few to choose from, moorings being the largest. You can choose to do a bareboat package (they will want you to show that you are capable of safely sailing and opperating the vessel), or a crewed package where you have a captain and cook on board.

Either way the area is beautiful and always a great choice.

Oh My! I wish I knew. When you find out let me know. I'll split the cost of a trip. I am a sailing dreamer.
