Mine little girl slept thru the night last night. I let her sleep 6.5 hours then woke her to feed her when i got up for work. I don't know how long is too long to let her sleep thru the night. She is only 7 weeks old.

I used to wake my boys during the day at least every 4 hours for a feed, but never during the night. They started sleeping all night at about 6-8 weeks usually 8 hours.
By the time they was 3 months they slept from 8pm to 7 am.

If she wants to stay asleep during the night let her. Just give her a bigger feed for breakfast.

Unless you have been told by the doctor to do otherwise because your baby has a specific medical problem, you do not need to wake her up to feed her. If she is hungry, she will wake up and yell!

Though, if you're off to work and need to breastfeed her before you go, that's fine. Just don't feel that there's a "too long". It's a good sign that your little girl slept through the night, it means she's happy, well-fed and relaxed.

My first slept through the night (9 hrs) the night she had her first injections - she'd never gone more than 3 hours at a time before. I woke up at 8 am the next morning, realised I hadn't got up to feed her, and presumed she was dead!

I believe that you should just let her sleep, after all babies need 16 mours of sleep a day.
He will wake up on hs own accord if he needs/wants feeding so i wouldn't worry about it!
My little boy slept through the night from 6 weeks old, but every baby varies, my cousins babyis 9 months old and still does not sleep through the night.

From the time I brought my little boy home from the hospital he would wake up once during the night to feed and go right back to sleep every night. By the time he was two months he was sleeping through the night without any feedings. Isn't it wonderful?

My daughter was about 2 months....but now she's sporadic at 4 months...she was sick & just can't get back into the whole night...she still technically sleeps through 'cause it's 6-7 hours, but she doesn't sleep that 1 hour more that would make it a full night for me :)

My 15 week old little girl has been sleeping through the night since about 2 weeks. My oldest daughter is four and she sporadically sleeps through the night.

You are so fortunate...my "babies" are teens now - but my first didn't sleep through the night until I started introducing solids at about 6 months - and then consistantly not until about 12 months of age for both. Needless to say - I was tired all the time - but looking back on it now - it was so worth it because I was nursing them. Now, I am still up in the night - but without them -I am waiting up for them to come home! LOL! :)

7weeks and sleeping through...let her sleep!! wake her only if you have no other choice! If you wake her she will get used to it very quickly and not sleep through anymore.

My first started sleeping through occasionally from 4 weeks (6-8hrs at a time) but not consistently till she was 7-8mths old. My second didn't sleep one night through till 7mths when I'd had enough and let him cry it out. He still doesn't sleep through and he is 2 & 9mths old now. He crawls in our bed everymorning!!! I don't wake up when he comes in anymore but he still wakes. Something I definately have to get on top of!!!
i've dug my own hole I suppose... :(

I let my kids sleep until they woke up on their own.

#1 - slept through the night at 2 weeks
#2 - 9 months
#3 - 5 weeks

I never listened to the doctors when they said to wake them to feed them. My kids would cry and scream and not even drink their bottles if we woke them, so we just let them sleep until they woke on their own. All babies are different.

Congrats and good luck!
