As a professional Soldier, I have perfected my personal style of traveling light, to the point that do it even as a civilian. I keep a stock of travel sizes of toothpaste and shaving cream, and I know just how to roll my clothes so they don't come out with terrible wrinkles in the wrong places.

And I only change my underwear once a week.

Just kidding - twice.

It's the only way to go. I get a kick out of just strolling through the main terminal of the airport with a small rucksack and looking at those poor families with four children lugging twenty eight different items of luggage with them. I don't see how you can enjoy a trip like that.

Yup. I'm going to New York next month for an audition, and for the five-day stay I'll have everything in my leather laptop bag [without the computer, it's quite roomy]. The secret is to mail things like toiletries ahead of time so they're waiting for you at the hotel.

I've gotten pretty good at it, now! I never have to check my bags, anymore. On the rare occasion that I have 2 suitcases, usually one is full of gifts and I can put one suitcase inside the other by the time i go home. Cool!

I can't. I would take the kitchen sink, if I could- it is such a bad habit, but I feel like I'm going to forget something.

No, it's virtually impossible for me because I pack in case of emergency holdovers.
