I feed my son 6oz every 4 hours but he seems to be hungry again soon after. Last night i fed him 8oz before bed and he took all of it. Should i up his bottles to 8oz or is this too much? I was thinking of giving him a little baby rice to fill him up more but know that you shouldnt until 4-6 month.

He is already on milk for hungry baby. I changed it about 3 weeks ago.

If baby is taking a 8oz bottle then that's fine,when he starts draining the bottle and still seems hungry just add another oz. the only real sign that he is being over fed is if he brings a whole load back after each feed.

if he's taking 8oz then give him 8oz. there is no set limit on the amount of feed for children. each child is different. if he doesnt seem to be satisfied after his feed then instead of introducing solids, try changing his milk to one thats for hungrier babies.

Feed him as much as he'll drink as often as he's hungry. there is no need to limit it. each baby is different. don't give baby rice yet. wait till at least 4months before trying anything solid as you can upset his digestion and make him constipated.

discuss it with your midwife id up it to 8 babies eat if they are hungry not for the sake of it,i think its 2 early for rice altho its not unheard of i think

ive always give mine wat they wanted ,one of mine could never get enough so i put 8oz milk to 7oz of water the health visiter said i shudnt but i did and she slept better and it filled her up ive got 5 children and it never hurt any of them i also put a quarter of rusk in last bottle at nite at about 12weeks old,do wat you feel is rite.it does depend on how big he was born,
